Aldo Bakker’s console table elegantly straddles the line between sculpture and furniture. It embodies the simplest concept of a table: two columns and a tabletop. The legs are an extension of the line created by the tabletop. The tabletop and the base of the legs are the same width, making them equally important to the design. The distance between the legs is not fixed but can be adjusted at will, adding further sculptural value to this piece.
