Piero Lissoni’s Ventiquattro table is a manifesto of the poetics of the essential, where the boldness of formal reduction meets a technological and futuristic aesthetic. Its identity is defined by the contrast between the purity of the rectangular, extra-clear glass top, finished with elegant rounded edges, and the complexity of the fully exposed tubular steel support structure. Inspired by the engineering of bicycle and motorcycle frames, Lissoni designed a base as solid as a building, featuring a steel ring that forms a double stand joined by two chains, a rationalist solution that allows for very long lengths while maintaining impeccable stability. The table’s bold character is emphasized by the refined polished metallic finishes of the base, available in azuki, English green, iron, white, and black, transforming a functional object into a visually striking piece of domestic architecture.
