Cassina’s FF.Spine bookcase is based on a project Formafantasma originally conceived for the Giustini / Stagetti Gallery in Rome, as part of the “1858” collection. This series of furnishings is made from the wood of fir trees felled by Storm Vaia, which devastated the forests of the Val di Fiemme in October 2018. Cassina continues this legacy and brings the FF Spine bookcase into production, reinterpreting the designers’ commitment to responsible resource management. The modularity of Cassina’s FF Spine bookcase allows for the combination of solid wood elements with diverse grain and cut.
Cassina’s FF Spine bookcase adopts a deliberately archetypal formal vocabulary. Measured lines, calibrated proportions, and no decorative superstructures. Suitable for furnishing private villas, luxury apartments, executive offices and reception rooms, the FF Spine bookcase is made up of uprights and brackets that support veneered shelves, with a tubular steel core that guarantees solidity without altering the visual cleanliness of the system.
